Teenage acne: treatment, prevention

Acne and teenage acne , the treatment of which is quite a long, laborious process that requires a lot of time and money, is a very common problem. The main reason for the appearance of acne in adolescence is a change in the hormonal background of a growing organism. The age at which acne occurs most actively is usually 14-20 years, but the appearance of acne on the skin and in older people is not excluded. Adolescents, because of their increased emotionality, react very sharply to this problem, often close themselves, experience complexes, and feel insecure.

How to avoid teenage acne?

According to statistics, of the entire mass of adolescents, only 10% can boast of clean skin. In other cases, the intensity of the process varies significantly. Such annoying nuisance as teenage acne , the immediate treatment of which requires an integrated approach, sooner or later concerns almost all young people of both sexes.

Do not use exclusively external means of combating problem skin. In order to reduce the progression of acne disease and reduce the appearance of new acne, it is first recommended to adhere to hygiene – regularly cleanse the skin and do not use cosmetics that clog pores and prevent the skin from “breathing”. It is necessary to carry out regular water procedures using gentle neutral means, avoiding those varieties of soap that cause excessive dryness of the skin.

Since the cause of teenage acne is the changes that occur in the body, it is worth revising the daily regimen and diet. Sleep should be about 8 hours a day. Rest should also be full. It is advisable to eat as many fresh products, vegetables and fruits as possible. Do not get involved in sweets, chocolate, coffee.

Are folk remedies effective against acne?

Folk remedies are the most common method of combating acne. Since ancient times, traditional medicine recipes have been used to treat many painful conditions, and there is a great explanation for this. Firstly, all drugs from the national piggy bank are natural, that is, they are safe for the human body. Secondly, the ingredients for the preparation of home-made “medicines” are available and do not require either a large cash outlay, a laborious process, or special “pharmaceutical” knowledge.

So the treatment of teenage acne is no exception for the use of decoctions and lotions based on medicinal herbs. This is the simplest and most harmless tool, which sometimes helps much more effective than expensive drugs from well-known pharmaceutical manufacturers. It is worth noting that when treating acne with folk remedies, the result is not achieved instantly, as many cosmetic and pharmacy products promise.

Very often, commercials mislead us, guaranteeing 100% efficiency as soon as possible. But this is basically impossible! In addition, many chemical-based products have contraindications for use and a high risk of side effects that almost no natural-based products have.

In order for the fight against teenage acne to be successful, you need to use both external means and means for domestic consumption. Inside, it is recommended to take various medicinal infusions and herbal decoctions, which balance and regulate the work of the liver, intestines, and other internal organs.

Means of external use are various decoctions and infusions of medicinal plants, masks, tonics, lotions. The regular use of these compounds has a positive effect on the condition of the skin – cleanses, has a tonic effect, dries and reduces inflammation, stabilizes the activity of the sebaceous glands, reducing the production of sebum.
