What will help your skin? Choosing the right tool

To protect our skin from the harmful effects of the environment, to cleanse after a busy day, to remove makeup, you need the right creams, gels, milk, toner, etc. It is clear that they should be suitable for our skin type, but there are a lot of products on the market. Alas, as practice shows, there is no such dependence: “the more expensive the product, the better it is.” Cosmetics are very individual.

Daily cream

The day cream protects the skin from adverse environmental influences. Day creams are applied in the morning after cleansing the skin and are not removed throughout the day. Unlike oily nourishing creams, they soften only the surface layers of the skin, protecting them from moisture loss, temperature extremes, as well as dust and dirt. Day creams give the skin a pleasant matte shade and serve as a good base for makeup. It is extremely dangerous to neglect this cream in winter. Weather conditions in just one season can dramatically accelerate the aging process of unprotected skin.

For urban women, special creams have been created, the so-called city creams, which have various protective mechanisms against the polluted atmosphere of the city.

Outside the city, it is better to use more saturated creams, since they require stronger protection from wind, frost and sun. It is good for long walks in winter to use special creams created for outdoor sports.

Evening cream

Evening creams are, as a rule, richer, more nutritious and actively fortified. The purpose of nourishing creams is to improve skin nutrition and stimulate metabolism in its cells. Unlike day creams and moisturizers, they are applied to the face and neck for 1.5-2 hours, usually before bed.

If the cream is not completely absorbed, then blot it with a cosmetic napkin. The evening cream stays on all night, but in the form of a very thin film. And excess cream makes it difficult for the skin to breathe and interfere with moisture release , causing stagnation of water in the cells. This can lead to swelling and puffiness of the face.

Very often, cosmetics manufacturers use the term “night” in the name of creams. In the classical sense, this is a cream that will act all night, but it must be applied in the evening.

Evening creams are also selected according to skin type.

Anti-wrinkle cream

It is recommended to start using anti-wrinkle creams after 25-28 years. It is necessary to conduct a three to four month course once a year. But this is also very individual.

Most often, an anti-wrinkle cream becomes necessary at the very first manifestations of skin aging. For example, if a woman begins to notice that in the evening she has a thin strip of makeup in the corners of her eyes. This suggests that a wrinkle is already beginning to form in this place.

Anti-wrinkle creams basically contain elements that are building blocks for building protein-based skin compounds such as collagen and elastin. Most often, these elements are derived from molecules of marine and terrestrial origin. These include extracts from the protein structures of molluscs, shells, plankton, fish fry, eggs or from the amniotic fluid of specially raised animals, also from the elements of the placenta. The most common are marine elements.

For their penetration into the skin, transport substances are used, which themselves have high permeability and are capable of “dragging” side elements deep into the skin. Such transport agents include, for example, nanosomes and essential oils.

The mechanism of action of anti-wrinkle creams is based on stimulating metabolic processes and blood circulation. They promote improved penetration of nutrients and moisturizers into the skin, making the skin more elastic and less susceptible to stretching and compression. There are anti-wrinkle creams that saturate the skin with elastic substances (elastin, collagen). With their help, the skin itself begins to produce the substances necessary for elasticity.

In addition to proteins, anti-wrinkle creams contain substances such as plant extracts and fruit acids, which are transported deep into the skin using the same transporters and contribute to skin regeneration.

What kind of anti-wrinkle creams a particular person needs at this stage is difficult to say right away. Need to try. In any case, it is always ideal to alternate between stimulating and constituent anti-wrinkle products.

Serums

Autumn, winter and early spring are the time of serum treatment and skin revitalization.

Serums are highly active, concentrated solutions or emulsions containing extracts of nutritional or healing substances. These substances enhance the effect of creams not only by adding the concentration of active substances, but also due to the “transport” properties, i.e. serums are able to penetrate into deeper layers of the skin, carrying with them substances from creams and masks.

Serums are applied either to cleansed skin under a mask or cream. Serum application requires care and very little.
Just a few drops of the serum are enough for the face, a few more drops for the neck and décolleté. The serum spreads over the skin surface with light movements along the massage lines. The substances contained in serums are well absorbed, leaving almost no trace. It is helpful to lightly pat the skin with your fingertips to enhance absorption.

Serum treatment is useful twice a year for 2-3 months. Then give the skin “rest” from such an intense effect for another 3-4 months, and then repeat the treatment. Moreover, it is absolutely not necessary to carry out the same cycle, you can use other ingredients. Then the efficiency will be even higher.

I will make a reservation that sometimes there are serums that must be added to a mask or cream, and not applied to the skin in front of them. This option is a little more convenient at home.

Cleansers

A woman can purchase cleansers that suit her skin type. For example, milk and toner are more suitable for dry or normal skin. But for people with oily skin – foaming gels.

The main assessment criterion is the feeling of cleanliness on the skin after removing the makeup. Most often, people with oily skin, after removing cosmetics with milk, feel that the skin is still dirty. They want to wash with soap and water or foam in order to cleanse their skin “to a creak.”

Another important point: if, after washing, there is a feeling of painful tightening of the skin, then this suggests that it is better to use softer products, for example, a foam-cream for washing, and not a gel for washing.

And, of course, in the arsenal of a young woman there should be at least one cream, for example, a moisturizer. Just in order to relieve the painful sensation of constriction after washing.

Be sure to have an alcohol-free lotion handy. It is often needed – to touch up makeup, rub it off during the day, remove the remains of milk or tap water after washing, cleanse the skin area under the eyes for an instant lifting mask.

I would recommend all women to have scrubs, but you need to use them wisely. For example, if a pimple has jumped up, then it is better to postpone the scrubs until the time when the pimple passes, since the use of abrasive substances in this situation can lead to the spread of infection and there will be more pimples. As for the rest, peels, gommages and scrubs are an indispensable part of home cosmetics.

Beautician advice

Masks,
serums and generally creams for solving some problems are best purchased after consulting a doctor. It will be more effective than trying constantly. Of course, the consultation process will not completely eliminate the need for selection, but will significantly narrow the search area.

There are general principles for choosing a cream – for dry skin, biologically active, dense creams saturated with fats are needed. For normal – lighter, but also not emulsions. For oily – light, emulsion or gel textures. Reputable cosmetic companies offer small packages of creams, the so-called probes. This is the best option: you can use the cream for 2-3 days and see if it is right for you.

And a few more tricks. It is better to take the entire care line from one company. For example, use milk, tonic, scrub, masks, serums and creams from the “nutrition” series. After 2-3 months, change to the “vitamin care” line. Use this line also for 2-3 months. If 3 months have passed, and you still have creams or milk, then just put them in the refrigerator. They may be useful to you when you return to this line again. Then you can change the company. Now there is a huge amount of wonderful cosmetics.

People often come to us to ask what kind of cosmetics we can recommend, which is of higher quality, which is better. Let us repeat that only the person himself can choose the right cosmetics. But there are general tips.

Mass media cosmetics, which are sold in almost any pharmacy or department store, are focused mainly on not doing harm. The content of active substances in the formulations is minimal. This is due to the fact that this cosmetics can be used without first consulting a doctor. These are, rather, means of preventive, than aimed at solving any problems.

Professional products contain a large number of active ingredients and, in addition, are created on highly effective bases that provide good penetration inside the skin. But these substances must be selected carefully, since some active ingredients can cause allergic reactions.

In conclusion, we can say that in the arsenal of a young woman there must be the following means:
means for removing makeup (they depend on the selection by skin type) – milk, tonic, gel;
scrubs;
lotion for rubbing the skin;
thermal or cellular water (for periodic moisturizing of the skin);
moisturizers (day and evening);
anti-wrinkle cream;
masks;
serum;
cream or cream gel for the eyes;
cream to relieve irritation and inflammation, the
so-called desensitizing cream;
oily, dense nourishing cream to lubricate small cracks, irritations, and to speed up healing.

We hope our tips will help you look your best at all times. The most important thing is to strive for this. It is not at all necessary to use the services of expensive beauty salons if you do not have such an opportunity. And at home, you can achieve good results. The choice of cosmetics, first of all, depends on your taste and desire.

Cream selection methods:

1. Squeeze a drop of cream onto your hand, look at it. How does the droplet behave? If it immediately loses its shape and spreads, then this is a light texture. If it retains for a long time the shape that was immediately, it is a dense texture. For oily or oily skin, a light texture is best. But for dry or prone to dryness, you should choose dense, oily creams.

2. Take a little of the cream and rub it between your thumb and forefinger, feel how quickly the fingers began to feel each other. The faster this happened, the lower the fat content of the cream.

3. Smear a drop of cream on the forearm, rub it lightly. Evaluate if the cream spreads well over the skin surface.

4. Smell the cream. This is very important, since the sense of smell can tell us very clearly whether it is our cream or not. A simple feeling – like it or not. The smell should be pleasant. Of course, this test is not suitable for odorless cosmetics.

5. Evaluate the rate of absorption of the cream. An evening cream should be absorbed more slowly than a day cream, but both should ideally be absorbed completely and not leave a feeling of either heaviness due to an abundance of fat content, or tightness due to a lack of fat content. A suitable cream does not need to be reapplied. It brings a feeling of comfort the first time.

6. After 20-30 minutes, listen to the sensations on the skin: if there is tingling, tingling, itching or burning, if the skin under the cream turns red, if there are blisters, spots or streaks of irritation.

7. Morning test for evening creams: when you wake up in the morning, feel your skin, whether there is irritation, dryness, burning. Go to the mirror and look at yourself. Is the swelling worse after applying the cream, are there any areas of irritation, inflammation or tightness .

If all the proposed tests have passed “with a bang”, then you can safely go and buy this cream. He walked over.
