Spring care for your skin

With the onset of warm days, we arrange a general cleaning in the house and revise the wardrobe. It’s time to pay the same attention to your own appearance. Spring cleaning must be comprehensive!

Seasonal fluctuations

What’s happening? In spring, everything changes rapidly – nature awakens after hibernation and prepares to start a new cycle. We do not have time to adjust to these changes, the body becomes confused. Hence the mood swings and health problems. The matter is complicated by vitamin deficiency and lack of movement. As a result, long-forgotten diseases and skin troubles can appear. Dry skin becomes coarser, allergic reactions are more noticeable, and oily skin can suddenly become inflamed.

What to do? During the off-season, we just need to develop our own beauty line and adhere to it carefully. Care should be comprehensive. Start with a diet, try to lose the pounds that have accumulated over the winter, and cleanse the body of toxins. Boost your immune system with vitamins and nutritional supplements. Go to the bathhouse. Get fit or buy a pool pass. And don’t forget to make time for beauty treatments every day. You will feel that you are renewing together with all nature!

Cleansing

Exfoliate, remove all excess and restore smoothness to the face

Dry skin, flaking, wrinkles

What’s happening? Winter cold, dry air and wind did their job. The protective layer of the skin has thinned, the sebaceous glands have narrowed, the skin surface has become less elastic, as a result, wrinkles have become more visible. And dead cells on the surface not only prevent the moisturizing components of the cream from penetrating the skin, but also make the complexion unhealthy.

What to do? Use soft scrubs and film masks. Prefer products for sensitive skin. Cosmetologists advise against doing professional peels in the spring (especially medium and deep resurfacing) – they increase the sensitivity of the skin to ultraviolet rays, because of this, you will have to avoid the sun all summer. Make hydrating masks and remember to apply a soothing moisturizer in the morning and nourishing cream in the evening.

The secret to gentle cleansing

Too sensitive skin won’t let you use a scrub? You can use cotton wool or a clean flannel cloth to cleanse your face of dirt, comedones, and dead skin.

Apply a cleansing foam or milk to your face. Then wrap your fingers in cotton or cloth and rub your face in circular motions along the skin lines – from the center of the face to the temples.
Apply a few light pressure strokes around your forehead, wings of the nose, and chin. Repeat a few times.
Finally, wash yourself with warm water or sleeping tea. Let your face dry – do not dry it with a towel.

Clogged pores, uneven, acne prone skin

What’s happening? Chapped skin has become coarser, pores are narrowed and it is difficult to get rid of excess sebum. At the same time, the sun activates the work of the sebaceous and sweat glands and comedones form on the skin .

What to do? Cleanse your skin thoroughly. But avoid alcoholic lotions and drying foams. Washing with tap water should be excluded. Spring melt waters often make the water in cities unsuitable for washing, and the high chlorine content cannot but affect the skin condition. Wash your face with boiled water, into which you can add decoctions of herbs – chamomile, parsley, mint or a little vinegar (about 1 tablespoon per liter). Try to regularly go to the bathhouse or at least do steam baths for your face.

Revitalize
Moisturize and restore skin, restore radiance to the face

Dull, tired skin

What’s happening? External skin fatigue is a direct manifestation of the internal state of the body. Lack of vitamins, hydration and general fatigue lead to the fact that our skin, both on the face and on the body, becomes less elastic, devoid of inner radiance and a healthy color. This is also due to the deteriorating blood circulation.

What to do? First of all, follow your diet – take vitamins,
drink plenty of fluids, try to eat as many natural products as possible and be outdoors more often. Facial massage will help improve blood circulation – you can do it yourself, at home, or contact a specialist. In the salons at this time, they actively recommend a course of mesotherapy – vitamin subcutaneous injections. Refreshing masks made from fruits, dairy products and eggs will also be appropriate. Do not overuse greasy creams, gradually switch to the summer care option.

Sensitive, easily irritated skin

What’s happening? The sun’s rays, pollen from flowering plants, and changes in temperature make the skin more irritated. Redness can suddenly appear on it, cosmetics can cause an allergic reaction and itching.

What to do? Try not to try new cosmetics now – it’s best to use the same proven products every day. Choose neutral, hypoallergenic, fragrance-free creams. Watch your food – exclude exotic foods, fatty and spicy. Take vitamins and minerals. Moisturize and soothe the skin, use creams that enhance the skin’s immunity. Be sure to use a barrier cream before going outside. And after returning home, immediately cleanse the skin with milk and tonic. Then you can make a compress with tea or herbal decoction. Then apply a nourishing cream.

Oily skin

What’s happening? Even if you have normal skin, which is usually not a problem, your face can become shiny during the off-season. This is more than a common occurrence, with thousands of women complaining about it. This problem is, in essence, psychological, nothing terrible happens to the skin, we just feel uncomfortable with a shiny nose.

What to do? Use mattifying creams. Apply loose powder to your face throughout the day – it not only conceals shine, but also protects the skin from the negative effects of the environment. Wipe with lotion in the evening, you can also use infusion of sage, chamomile, black tea or kefir.

Return of color

In order for the skin to look healthy and rosy,
not so much is required – just give it a few minutes in the morning and evening.

In the morning “wake up” your skin with a massage with a piece of ice – it can be frozen tea or herbal decoction. The main thing is not to massage the skin for a long time and not to overcool the face, but quickly run ice along the skin lines.
Light self-massage will help to restore blood circulation in the skin – patting and pressing from the center of the face to the temples.
Aroma cosmetics also perfectly stimulates the work of blood vessels, relieves skin hypersensitivity and enhances recovery processes.

Protection

UV filters, antioxidants, firming creams

Uneven skin, cracks

What’s happening? A general decrease in immunity leads to the fact that the skin reacts much more sharply to exposure to the sun and wind. Forgetting this, we use every opportunity to expose our face to the rays of the sun. It is even useful in small quantities. But, if the face burns, the skin immunity falls and pimples, specks and cracks appear on the face. ” Jams ” in the corners of the mouth indicate a lack of vitamins.

What to do? Be careful with the first sun, apply UV filter cream even in the city. Use mild peeling creams and nourishing masks. An old folk way to smooth chapped lips is to smear them with honey and massage them with a toothbrush.

Solar allergy, photodermatitis

What’s happening? Skin irritation and small rashes such as hives or blisters may appear on the skin. Sometimes on the bridge of the nose and cheeks, the skin turns red. Increased sensitivity to sunlight can be associated with internal disturbances, with the intake of hormonal drugs, high doses of vitamin A or other drugs.

What to do? See your dermatologist first. Follow your diet. Be sure to protect your face with high SPF sunscreen. Try not to use makeup for a while.

Freckles,
age spots

What’s happening? Freckles and age spots are a feature of sunburn. This is due to the small amount and uneven distribution of melanin in the skin. The reason may lie in your genes or in the wrong attitude to the skin (for example, if the skin is repeatedly sunburned, the occurrence of specks is more likely). Most often, the owners of freckles are red-haired or blondes. The surrounding people find it charming, and the owners of freckles themselves struggle with them in every possible way. And for good reason – the appearance of freckles signals that the skin needs special protection from the sun.

What to do? Always protect your skin from sun damage. Use creams with SPF 25 or higher. Many moisturizers and foundations say they contain an HC filter, but most often the level is below 25 and therefore insufficient for sun-sensitive skin. If freckles do appear and you would like to get rid of them, use special whitening products with fruit acids, hydrogen peroxide. You can also use home remedies like lemon juice, cucumber, dandelion juice, sauerkraut, parsley, and sour milk. Make masks from these ingredients, apply on the spots and leave for 20-30 minutes. You can use a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution with brewer’s yeast or water.

Vitamins in cosmetics

We are combating vitamin deficiency in a complex manner, and therefore vitamins and antioxidants are an obligatory component of the spring diet of the skin.
Vitamin E relieves inflammation, slows down the aging process, and strengthens the skin.
Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant that activates protective and metabolic processes in the skin and improves blood circulation.
Vitamin F relieves irritation, eliminates dryness and smoothes wrinkles.
Vitamin A (retinol) activates the cell renewal process. But retinol cosmetics increase the skin’s susceptibility to UV rays and can sometimes cause irritation.
