How to restore sun-weary skin

If in the summer you did not pay enough attention to protecting your face, hands, neck, décolleté and overdo it with sunbathing, then in the fall, expect new wrinkles to appear. Indeed, under the influence of the sun, hot wind and sea water, the skin becomes dry and lethargic. But there are many restorative skincare options that will revitalize your skin and make you remember summer with joy.

According to dermatologists, if you have had skin problems during the year, then after the summer they will at least double.

Of course, for some types of skin – for example, problematic oily – the sun helps for a while: it dries and makes pimples and irritations less noticeable. But remember that the sun dries up the skin, making fine wrinkles more visible, especially around the eyes and lips.

Even if you spent all summer in your hometown and never made it to the sea, this does not mean that there are no skin problems. After avoiding plentiful sunbathing, you put yourself on a strict oxygen diet, which, alas, did not make you more attractive.

The fact is that there is not enough oxygen in the city air, but there are an abundance of harmful chemical elements, whose harmful effects are intensified by high summer temperatures. From oxygen deficiency and air pollution, blood circulation is disturbed, the processes of cell regeneration slow down. And as a result – symptoms of dehydration (dehydration) of the dermis and the manifestation of photoaging.

Photoaging occurs because the protective stratum corneum of the epidermis thickens after excessive exposure to the sun. And the thicker it is, the drier and rougher the skin becomes.

There are several options for restorative care, each of which solves a complex of problems. In this case, the main task is to deeply moisturize the skin. Modern procedures and techniques can be divided into physiotherapeutic (ultrasound, ionization), peelings (chemical and mechanical), injection (mesotherapy, biorevitalization ) and external cosmetic (masks, wraps, creams).

Ultrasonic peeling. One of the most popular physiotherapy procedures today. Ultrasound affects all layers of the skin, including the sebaceous glands, normalizing their work. Gentle, non-traumatic exfoliation is combined with hydration. In addition, the production of melanin is suppressed and pigmentation becomes less noticeable. As a result of a course of 10-12 procedures (2-3 times a week), the skin is moisturized, cleansed, and peeling stops.

Ionization method. Combines the action of galvanic current and cosmetics. It is based on electrophoresis. A moisturizing gel is applied to the face, on which a galvanic current is applied using a special apparatus. Ions and useful components penetrate to a shallow depth and accumulate in the skin, where they continue their beneficial effects. In addition, the galvanic current itself creates a favorable background in the tissues (as a result of complex electrochemical changes).

Chemical peeling. The most radical and more modern way. Superficial peels, even with a high concentration of fruit acids, do not require a rehabilitation period. Glycolic acid, found in most peels, penetrates into the deeper layers of the dermis and stimulates collagen production. The skin is moisturized and lifted. The removed layer of keratinized epidermis with excess pigment reveals a layer of renewed skin that is more even in color and texture.

Mesotherapy. In the experienced hands of a cosmetologist, this is a very effective procedure that allows you to simultaneously solve a number of problems: recovery, hydration, lifting. At the stage of rehabilitation, the cosmetologist will select the necessary injectables, of
which there are many in the arsenal of tools to combat skin aging.

Oxymesotherapy is a non – injection form of the procedure. It will suit you if you want to, but are afraid to undergo mesotherapy due to fear of injections. Oxymesotherapy is completely painless and gives excellent results. It provides for the application of preparations (serums) to the skin surface, after which, under a strictly calculated oxygen pressure, using a special apparatus, they are carried through the horny and shiny layers of the epidermis and penetrate into deeper layers.

If you decide to give up radical treatments, then help your skin cope with the effects of summer stress with the help of salon rehabilitation programs. True, it will take more time, since one or two trips to the salon are not enough.

The result of salon procedures must be fixed at home. Many cosmetic companies produce home care products containing substances invaluable to the skin: ascorbic acid, retinol, antioxidant vitamins A, E, C. They are part of creams, produced in the form of serums, combined with trace elements. In addition, there are low fruity acid creams specifically for home use.

Dehydration of the skin can be eliminated with the help of various moisturizing masks,
in particular, collagen or alginate masks . Pay attention to plastithermia (plasticizing masks) – a procedure that will help solve several problems at once: enlarged pores, dryness and wrinkles around the eyes.

To do this, a powerful cream or serum is applied to each area of the skin, then a special warming mask is applied, which contributes to the deepest penetration of beneficial substances into the skin. But, keep in mind , such a mask cannot be used if rosacea (dilated vascular network) has already appeared .

If you really want your beautiful tan to last as long as possible, but the skin remains firm and elastic, then do only moisturizing procedures. For example, wraps – algae, mud, fruit. By the way, they can be used to correct problem areas of the body – to tighten the skin and smooth out the appearance of cellulite.

Is your tan uneven? It is worth using scrubs. They will leave the skin solid and receptive for a moisturizing and revitalizing effect. And you will remember the summer with joy!
